This is a sunset tribute to my late father, Thomas (Tommy) Marshall – 19 Oct 1936 to 20 Apr 23
The photograph is the 18th Green at Kirkhill Golf Course; we were both members here, as well as his father before him – I have some magical memories of him teaching me not only to play but also the fine details of golf etiquette; he introduced me to Badminton, photography and Glasgow Rangers – he was a shy & gentle human being who was supportive in everything me and my sisters pursued.
RIP, Dad; you were a great father who will be sorely missed.
SIncere condolences. It’s not an easy thing, losing a parent. May the treasured memories outweigh the sense of loss…. 🙏
Very many thanks, Gunta beautiful words….
That is a grand tribute and suggests you will have a vast store of great memories. They can never make up for your loss but may ease the pain just a little, ànd perhaps bring a smile when the going is tough for you and your family. Best wishes
Thank you so much, David – you are spot on; a lot of great memories – everything he did, he had a passion for it. A huge influence on my life.
I’m so sorry for your loss Scott. All I can say is something someone told me when I lost my father: it hurts now and there is nothing but sadness, but eventually when you think of your dad you’ll mainly think of the good times and smile.
Hey, thank you, Rob; it is amazing to think we have been here so long; he introduced me to photography, golf, badminton, and some great music. cheers
What a lovely and loving tribute to your father. My condolences to you and all who knew and loved him. May his memories be a blessing.
Your words are heartfelt and gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
