Here we are in the depths of winter and I realised I have not generated a good old fashioned sunset since mid November – now there is a reason for that of course (I am working when the light departs) but I was down the beach last weekend when this happened and I thought you may like this little chase of light……
We love a good old-fashioned sunset! Beautiful, thank you!
Brilliant, Scott…. Love it..! 🙂
A beautiful shot of the evening sky. Amazing colours.
That’s a real stunner Scott! Well done!
cheers Phil, interesting – I have bucket loads of this type of shot which rarely makes it from the cutting room floor . I have spent a lot of time recently trying to find something interesting to anchor the sunset on – but I felt we needed some uplifting so this appeared. Cheers
Yeah I know what you mean about having loads of this type of shot. I occasionally shoot weather for one of our local TV news stations and sunsets is kind of an ongoing theme. That and storm clouds along the beach.
Findhorn or Moray Firth? great shot with lots to absorb and refresh the inner sole!
Lossiemouth inner estuary with a full tidal basin creating the foreground very unusual to have light here but it was backlight (you can see the light source was out of shot)
Another great one! Love it 🙂
It looks sooo peaceful!
It was extremely peaceful and very calm not a breath of wind
That’s lovely, sunsets are cosy and that’s just what’s needed at this time of year to warm the cockles.
good I was hoping for a warm reply 😀
“a good old fashioned sunset “…. I haven’t heard an expression like that before 🙂 Sunset and sunrise always make me excited… This should be an amazing moment that you captured, I can die for this view like that. Great photograph. Thank you dear Scott, love, nia
They are the best moments Nia – I love being part of it standing and absorbing the moment – sucking it up ‘so to speak’
Ooooh, totally scrumptious….. (nice straight horizon, too 😉 !)
Superb!
