Last weekend the Met Office predicted a high pressure weather system would park itself right over Scotland so we headed out seeking some perfect reflections in perfectly still lochs – luckily the weatherman was right and we witnessed weather perfection in mid November – enjoy
Nice composition, Scott
Cheers Graham – i worked at this shot so thats good to hear
How did you hold onto the line that kept the boat still and capture such an amazing shot at the same time? ha! Terrific capture, Scott.
I am not strong enough Michael but my glamourous assistant – helped out
Another stunning shot Scott.
Cheers Rigmover – I am glad you are enjoying my latest offerings
Superb composition.
cheers Simon I appreciate that
I think I will hibernate too……I like the flow of the curve with the boat. Nice one.
cheers David on days like this you want it just to last – so I will hang on the hibernation just now – I am looking forward to some snow
Today is supposed to be the day winter really starts so get those snow shoes ready.
That’s a glorious shot, Scott. Days like that are to be treasured.
for definite as we know they don’t come around too often – we simply must grab them
A classic composition and gorgeous light. Well done. 🙂
My sorta feedback I was seeking to frame it and happy with the result Rachael
Lots to like here but I liked the water almost encircling the boat (when I wasn’t admiring the reflection).
excellent like the fact I challenged your viewing response
Tremendous picture!
most kind Sir
Wonderful shot. Love the light and colours.
Light and colour was working for me – not so much as a breath of wind
What a serene setting and beautiful colors.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment
So peaceful and serene. The boat certainly adds a great touch.
Well I would have preferred a lovely varnished wooden boat but hey – we cant have it all on a perfect day
I can understand the preference, but I think this boat fit the scene perfectly.
Tranquil, but slightly unreal, somehow! 🙂
unreal Jo – yes – you wont see Scotland like this too often
Extraordinary!!!
“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape. Something waits beneath it; the whole story doesn’t show.” Andrew Wyeth
A lovely quote Clanmother and I tend to agree with you – certainly much more marginal weather conditions are imminent
Completely beautiful – I’m out there in that boat flicking out a 9′ rod. Right now! RH
Well I think the gillies may chase you for fishing out of season – ha ha
Lovely image Scott…..great composition.
Many thanks Mark – most of your recent locations are on the bucket list 🙂
Beautiful composition, reflections and colours.
Thanks so much for those kind words
Enjoyed, Scott – I hope as much as you did! 🙂 In love with those colours.
