Paisley Town Hall reflected on the White Cart Water with one of the Old Mills in the distance. Immediately behind me was a bus stop full of local residents hurrying about their business. Only a couple of people were looking in the same direction as me, appreciating the view. Having travelled all my life, I recognise that to truly enjoy a location or scene – in general terms, you have to have travelled to look in detail, absorb and appreciate. When you are in your environment, life often overtakes appreciation of your locale.
