I loved the professionalism of the musician giving of their best despite the weather and lack of audience. Situated on the sunniest corner of Piazza San Marco, Venice at the foot of the Clock Tower, in front of the Basilica, the Caffé Lavena. One of Venice’s most renowned coffee boutiques since 1750. The Caffé Lavena is a meeting place for illustrious Venetian guests and tourists, and has always actively participated in the cultural life of Venice, experiencing the most important historical events in the city during the 18th and 19th centuries.
The show must go on. 🙂 Kudos to those musicians. i love the Piazza San Marco.
Thank you for your comments Sylvia they are always appreciated – there is something about Venice (although I have never seen it in sunshine) that just says photograph me – I would love to do a shoot where there are no people in shot – now that would be atmosphere….
Like your short writing for your pictures. Your pictures itself is like a short story, but with the description it makes no doubt and prevent guesses about what you would like to show. Great.
Glad partly pinched from Wikipedia and augmented by my own thought about the image – I appreciate you saying so Lautal
What a great looking place and I was going to say the same as Clanmother about your name. 🙂 The colour of those chairs really jumps out at you.
It was the chairs which drew me and then the B&W backdrop – I will go back got lots of ideas for this Square in the future.
I like where your put your name!! I can hear the music through the cables….
Yes it was a very convenient space which I couldn’t overlook – the music was great as was the setting
I feel so bad for them!
really – they are still getting paid and playing in beautiful surroundings
I have heard musicians say they will play to a wall as long as they get paid.
I have heard Scottish Photographers say the same ha ha
