This was a wonderful sky which I caught in my rear view mirror whilst returning from Wester Ross – it isnt what you would call a sunset it was more of a lights off. I have to admit it caught me by surprise and I made some basic exposure errors which has left a lot of noise in the image (so it wont be entered in any competitions – but I felt it was worthy of sharing with you – have a great weekend.
Rigmover considering your schedule your visits are always appreciated.
Yes definitely worthy of lingering on your blog.
Lyle thanks – I am always pleasantly surprised when images that you are unsure of are reasonably successful
Fabulous sky, Scott. A really dreamy shot. 🙂
It felt surreal to be honest – glad I stopped tbh
Beautiful shot
excellent – I like happy bloggers
3D looking picture. The clouds in the water are not flat. It looks like something fluffy is laying on the water. Stunning shot!
It was pretty surreal tbh Alexander I hadnt witnessed anything similar previously
Great photograph and amzing magical moment… Thank you, love, nia
Hey Nia you are growing in to one of my regular visitors 🙂
I am in awe, Scott! Magical – in every way…
For me it was surreal – I was concentrating on the road and caught the sky – rapidly pulled over and got the tripod out – very pleased with the positive way it has been received.
Now that is a fantastic shot – a love the reflection of the clouds in the foreground of the loch. It’s a winner…nice one Scott.
great to get such a positive response Mark thanks – it was indeed a surreal event
Love the drama. Seems fitting as we have just had the most incredible storm pass over. What they would call a squall at sea, I think. It was quick and brutal.
it fits the description skyscape quiet nicely Rachael – we have got away with murder this winter – I just haven’t been out and about but I am getting quiet organised and lots of trips out are coming soon 🙂
Very relaxing image….pixel peeping has never been my scene either and frankly who should care as long as you have achieved a great image. Too many critics and cynics there days.
Pixel peeping is not a term I was familiar with until Gunta used it – I know the Camera Club judges would have had me on it and I also know that it would stand being enlarged to any extent. Looking forward to a Full frame sensor in that respect.
It’s beautiful and I’ve never been a pixel peeper, so it’s just fine with me!
Glad you like it – you should read my comments regarding the term pixel peeping which I mentioned in my reply to David Oakes – I trust you are enjoying your photography and that winter has been kind to you.
Spectacular, Scott, definitely worthy of sharing!
Excellent and I very pleased to say whilst you were the first to share that view you were not the only one – so therefore that confirms a well informed eye 🙂
I’m not in the least surprised that it got plenty of shares, very well deserved. And I’ll take that compliment too, thanks. 🙂
Splendid view!!!
many thanks
Another stunning shot Scott. Well worth the wait.
