Early – Lossiemouth Esplanade

It’s early morning, around 7 o’clock, and it’s pretty cold outside, with the temperature at minus 3 degrees Celsius. Despite this, I’m still out and about. A good amount of snow is covering the ground; it’s even visible on the beach in front of me and on the rooftops of the shops. I photographed the scene using a tripod with a Nikon D850 Sigma 24mm F1.4. The camera settings were around F16, and the shutter speed was 3 seconds, enough time to capture the light trails. The postprocessing was conducted in Camera Raw. Enjoy

  1. The moment almost frozen as if I was there too. Beautiful photograph you did dear Scott, there is always great touches in your photography. Thank you, Love, nia

    1. Hi Nia – it was extremely cold and dark which meant a long shutter speed which allowed the light trails to dance across the photograph. I trust you are well. Do you have snow?
