While the picture may lack foreground, it is an excellent representation of Scotland—light space scale and subtle colour palette; you can wander through the image from front to back and find something of interest at every turn—some light texture from the seaweed, some leading lines to stunning reflections—the mirror reflection adding genuine depth, and the mixture of shoreline trees and snow-covered mountains adding some romance. Enjoy

Thank you so much dear Scot, have a nice day, there is a sunny day in here today, I hope in there too. Love, nia
The clouds on the Loch is an adequate foreground….. it all does say Scotland (with or without snow capped mountains) 🙂
Cheers, David. Interestingly, this image is a nervous drone shot hovering over the deepest, darkest loch. Again, this underlines the quality being delivered. Several years ago, I read an article that video would become so good that stills would be the frame of choice as we advance. – I think we have already arrived at that point – with Apple’s “live shot” taking a 1.5s video and selecting the “image “still” for you. Scary times, if you consider this image, which was stabilised on a moving platform on a heavily vibrating platform, are mind-blowing, really. However, we are also seeing a populist return to the basics – film pinholes, etc…
Aĺl true Scott…. i still recall my first nervous steps with Digital, and Editors reluctance to move from medium format. A HUMBLE D100 was
Sorry interrupted…D100 and that created a double page spread
This is really extraordinary… The depth of the photograph/view draws you in, and in that calm water moment, it’s as if you too forget the flow of time. This is such an extraordinary sight that one can stare at it for hours… and sure, it is romance. Thank you dear Scott, Love, nia
