Well I was planning to post this image some 3 hours ago but I started messing about with the crop and 3 hours later I still wasn’t happy but decided to hit save anyway. It was a lot easier when I posted this on Instagram less to think about. All in all it is about the myriad of colours and light n shade which all converge on the building. Classic harsh winter light
The play of light and shades and the rich colours…makes me stop and look for a long time. Great. I hope you are finally happy with it.
I like a detail on the house..that it seems to has no windows and door..and there are only black holes..!
I love the colors of the image too..!
cheers Rod thanks for dropping by – I enjoy your wee challenges
🙂 I am glad to hear that Scott! Thanks!
Let me guess, you cropped more of the right side and top to make the barn not to be the centre o the shot ?..Instaed the shades and heather ( ?) are doing the excact same thing, drawing your eye to it ??..Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong , all & all it’s a great typical mr.marshall shot 🙂
yes yes yes you got it in one – interestingly it was messing around on Instagram which made me revisit this and crop this way. If I have recognisable style that is just fine 😀
Very beautiful.
Thanks for taking time to say so – cheers
This is a very pleasing shot, a fine example of how you balance your pictures so well.
Well we got there in the end – It looked a lot better on the day though…
Very nice indeed Scott!
Thank you Chillbrook
A truly amazing image, Scott. I love everything about it. 🙂
Sylvia thank you and many congratulations on the Rod Posse winner 😀
😀
I wouldn’t be any good as your publicist; they wouldn’t believe me…. 99.9% of the time I’d be saying the same thing…!
This is truly a wonderful image, Scott….! As you say; so many textures, and the colours blend like an artist’s brush….!
See what I mean…!?! Who would believe me….? 😉
Well you keep saying it cause I am listening – evry single time – most welcome as always Carolyn
I like the colors (or on your side of the pond: colours)!
Colors is fine – the Instagram looks even better as it works heavily on contrast might try HDR on this shot too (thinking)
