I hope your eyes are wandering across the vista seeking the haunted Castle which I am referring to. I stayed here when I was 15 on a tour of the Highlands which was run by my school. This and a subsequent trip to Minnesota have in many shaped the creative side of me. I have ghost story to tell with this picture – but you wouldn’t believe me and it would take to long. So please just enjoy this and if you get the chance to go and stay (it is Scottish Youth Hostel Association venue) don’t think twice.
Fantastic depth in this one here…… very lovely. The ones with the memories also add that extra touch.
er am – little busy just at the moment lol
Wonderful photo, Scott. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia – it’s great when you drop by even better when you enjoy them
Well done, Scott; this is so 3D… you are a marvel…!
As for the ghosts in the castle… What would a castle be if not for its ghosts…! Perhaps you’ll have to put us ‘out of our miser’, and tell us the tale.. long or short; doesn’t matter..! 😉
I hadnt noticed the depth in the shot until you challenged me to review my own image Carolyn so thanks for the coaching lol
Scott Marshall, you can’t hint at the ghost story and then not tell, that is so not fair!
Some lovely colourful and calm reflections in this one!
I like the almost marble like sky – although I will admit I was a little frustrated when the cloud acted as a filter just as I was about hit the shutter
Great shot Scott, love the POV.
Aye right down a river level dogging the soaking ground
Very nice indeed Scott. Love the perspective!
that is exactly why I liked the shot using the bridge to frame the reflection
I’m glad you pointed the castle out, I certainly would have missed it otherwise. What a splendid bridge by the way!
Yes it is on the Wick line and recently repainted
Lovely pic… but no, you can’t get away without telling us the ghost story! You know you won’t! 🙂
ha ha little busy studying currently lol
Like 2 pieces of art in one – the scenery and the reflection! Quite a view!
And the ghost story….I don’t believe you will get off that easily now after mentioning it. 🙂
There is always a ghost – with a story!!! It is the stuff of adventure…. I am not certain, but I think that we stayed in the same castle when we were on a Haggis adventure. The castle we stayed in had sculptures in the main area. It was a youth hostel…with great food!!!
The sculptures marble neo-classical and a magnificent painting on the half landing ‘where the ladies feet and smile follow you’
That’s the one!!!! The castle was haunted, no question about it….
