This is the second in my Lighthouse series (Summer) – this is Scurdie Ness at Ferryden near Montrose. Scurdie Ness was one of the first I saw as a child due to the fact we spent several holidays in Montrose at Caravan Parks – great memories of golden beaches, Fish and Chips and a tough wee Golf Course – where I also entered my first Jnr Golf Competition in the Montrose Open (nervous times). I do love returning to haunts from my childhood and exploring much further than I ever got th chance to do back then. Enjoy
Another stunning example, thanks Scott.
cheers Rigmover – left some banter on your most recent post.
Crisp and clear – so beautiful!
Yes Leya it was a very bright and fresh summers day- quiet lucky really
Great second image and looking forward to more in the series.
Thanks Lee – like I said to David I will space them out a bit so as not to bore you guys to death.
Great place, beautiful light and wonderful picture.
Did you go on the top of the lighthouse?
Have a nice evening Scott
Sophie – no I didn’t – it is like many on our coast now privately owned.
Love the crisp colors here! Lovely lighthouse.
Yes what is it about Lighthouses – on the whole they are not that different in the UK- your are a little different to ours
Impossible not to love a lighthouse 🙂
I completely agree Jo – cheers
Roll on the next one…..
Thanks David – I will be dribbling them out so as not to bore people intermingled with the usual Castle and other stuff

A magnificent photo, Scott. I love lighthouses, and the sky is just perfect. 🙂
