Here is one from my recent trip to Skye – I have to admit as to not making The Sleat Peninsular one of my priorities due to the fact it seemed so flat and unappealing in my initial research – how wrong can one be! The were loads of inlets and nooks that I will have to go back and explore in a variety of weathers. The weather I would place in the typical Scotland category which really lends itself to all sort of colours on the palette board. I did crop the image several times before deciding on this final image. It just goes to show never judge a book by it’s cover – get out there and hands on you just never know what is around the corner.
Love the drama š
Jo it is full of drama – although the weather is threatening – it is actually fabulously calm. Which is how I like my weather – lol
Scott, this is just so dreamy & moody… and spectacular! Love it!
Tahira – glad you like it and have returned to my blog. I want to spend all day catching up but I must pay the bills. But dreamy and moody – that places a smile on my lips – cheers
Sleat looks to be a fascinting place. Great capture and crop!
Michael tbh it is less about Sleat than the views from Sleat, I just didn’t expect them
Very nice Scott.
Cheers Rigmover, Skye has many personalities, I just didn’t realise
Amazing and impressive scene!
It is rather bonny Phil and no one around at all. I was experiencing peace calm and solitude.
I love the Sleat peninsula….it has lots of hidden treasures and views. On a sunny evening the light reflections are mesmerising. This is a lovely moody shot š
Seonaid, hidden treasures are an apt description. But also the views across to the mainland which is what surprised me most. I will return with more time to just wander.
Best chance of finding that different angle. Love the shot captures the atmosphere we all love and hate
David – we had a couple of glorious days balanced off against steady rain, same recently in Fort William, so I believe I am paying for the glorious summer we had.
I LOVE the mood of this one… sulky skies and all. Lovely composition, too.
Gunta, that is music to my ears, moody , moody I wood shoot that way all day long
Exactly – you just never know until you get there…and I’m glad you made it here.
Yes Robert – a pretty clear lesson many thanks
