Seen this snowstorm inbound from 5 miles south of Lossiemouth and headed straight to Prospect Terrace to get the elevated view as it run up the Bay – sumptuous light drama – then I bumped in to Jim Robertson a renowned local Landscape photographer (who informs me his with played piano at my wedding) what a small world we live in – although weather systems like this demand attention power and beauty.

This has a painting type feel / quality. Very atmospheric….
Glorious! 🙂
It was far better to witness than I have captured –
and not a bikini insight on Costa del Spey……..
Love a beach weather system, raw, real, alive, can’t be staged. Would have liked to catch that one myself. Andy O.
Yes it was pretty wild although – I witnessed from about 5 miles – it then headed inland and avoided my home town
That’s the kind of sky I like to look at from indoors. Great shot.
Maybe from your car ha ha – it has been such a benign winter – you have to grab it will you can.
Stunning image. It pays to be an opportunist and take advantage of the moment. Well done, Scott!
Cheers Sir, we are totally spoiled by the camera’s power and software’s ability to reflect what we saw – the only thing let is deciding what to shoot the composition.
I love dramatic skies. Very nice capture!
