   Yes indeed backup. I currently have 3 external hard drives running.

   1. ditto on the drives Phil – I only lost a couple of edits and a lot of time – so back up or cry lol

4. Bust hard drive…..even when you back up it still comes as a shock that such a disaster has ‘happened to you’ If it is your computer drive it still takes an age to recover all the programmes and get back up to speed. Hope it isn’t causing too many headaches

   1. It is my own fault was bought as one of the original media drives from HP sold to me on WIndows ME upgraded to XP and Windows 7 – I broke it on my Windows 8 Laptop (so no surprises) reformatted and back in action on Windows 7 lol

      1. At least with digital we have the chance to back up. On my last pre-digital trip to Scotland I lost all 3 weeks assignments of films to a thief in Perth…..the police caught him eventually (long story) but still had to retake.

5. Wonderful memory for me! We are on Victoria Island at the Highland games, celebrating Queen Victoria’s birthday this weekend in Canada! Bagpipers are all around us…

   1. Sound excellent weather here has been pants so editing and recovering data – not much fun

   1. Tahira – it is a lovely image but a readily available shot – a difficult subject considering how photographed it is.
