This an image which I mono-fied for entry in to Google+ #Minimalist Monochrome – well I rather like it and decided to use Lightroom to bring back the slightly overblown highlights in the water – I think it has worked out quiet well. I hope you will agree – enjoy
I think that’s wonderful and a terrific entry for minimalist monochrome.
It’s beautiful Scott
Thanks Sriram
Oh yes!!! Love this one. The god rays are spectacular spotlighting the rock (island) in the water.
aye the light is great – seeing it a lot just now as we move from high summer to early autumn a real mix of weather – heading towards the time when these opportunity’s are on the increase
Looks terrific Scott
many thanks Phil
Bangin’ on the LOVE button Scott
brilliant David thanks
There is an ethereal quality to this exquisite photograph. The lighting is like that from a well made movie where the director specifically directs the light and shadowing exactly where he wants it. The final image is brilliantly revealed. Great capture and developing. I can’t take my eyes off of it.
MIchael thanks for taking the time to articulate your sense of this shot – greatly appreciated
Shall I go into raptures now or wait till later? It is everything I love in a photograph. Water, light, mood, atmosphere… you’ve got it 🙂
you can come back 😀
It’s such a dramatic second that you almost wonder what happens next. Yeah I’d say it works.
cheers Lyle – you know a moment in light is fleeting – just your luck to be there
Not only quite well, Scott, it is absolutely magical!
Magical yes the Highlands are magical
I agree. It definitely works. What a beautiful image.
Cheers Dawn – typical mixed weather light – my favorite
Works just fine for me
good David – I do enjoy roaming around the archive and getting positive outcomes from previously overlooked images
Beautiful moody image, reminds me of when I was in the Outer Hebridies with scudding clouds and moments of sunlight just like this.
thank you – love the word scudding – reminds me of my childhood
Such beautiful balance!
