The weather over the past week or so has cast me in to the summer archives with a view to reminding us what a wonderful summer it was arguably as good as I recall from my childhood which was back in 1977. The date I have shared indicates at what stage of life I find myself. Prior to this summer I had only captured one image of Duffus Castle which I was happy with – now I have close to double figures. I wonder if you agree with me that once more Duffus Castle has caught the imagination.
A great view of the castle and not an obvious one. The leading lines work really well.
Many thanks I have a few similar ideas for next year too 😀
That is one highly evocative castle. I am going to click on your tag to find your others.
Great shot, as always Scott.
You are very kind Sir
What to say…you have scored your 100 again with flying colours, Scott 🙂
I like you your scoring system and always appreciate you taking the time to comment. Really looking forward to the New Year when I can focus on photography full time.
🙂 Thank you, I had the feeling I couldn’t have got it wrong.
After the New Year…yes, I am sure you will enjoy it and…we will be lucky enough to enjoy along with you (that’s kind of hope!).
My WP Reader has totally changed (and messed up) how I look at and comment on other’s blogs and it is now not just difficult but close to impossible. Not sure what the problem is but if you don’t see me around for a while until this hopefully gets fixed, that’s the reason. Sorry.
Phil see if you have checked the new Dashboard – you can revert to Classic (the view you are familiar with)
Thanks Scott but I don’t see a setting in my Dashboard for Classic. Sounds like what I want.
I looked in Dashboard under Settings. Appearance etc. but don’t see anything.
Phil,
I am convinced it is amongst this – i changed back to ‘classic’ but cat recall how beyond it was a check box http://make.wordpress.org/ui/tag/dash/ – i’ll dig around

We’re also hard at work on a responsive design, so you can view and work in your WordPress.com dashboard on your smartphone or tablet. I agree with you 🙂 Wonderful weather and wonderfully composed!
Thanks so much Paula and thanks for taking the time to comment appreciated.
Ah, those long summers of our youth, where have they gone? You’re right that this year it was like those happy memories of endless days of sunshine and playing outside. Duffus Castle looks like a magical childhood playground, sitting on that grassy hill looking all tempting. This picture makes me want to run through the field.
I think some light painting here will have to be next – ha ha we shall see
Great title, Scott, and such a beautiful shot. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia I do think the title is important and enjoy naming images as much as taking them.
Strong composition Scott, the tracks lead in perfectly.
That’s exactly what I was going to say so I’ll second that comment.
Thanks Lyle and Adrian that was my aim to lead you in – I was trying to find a set that led you in to the right hand edge of the castle but had to do with these 🙂
