I love that building. I agree that it is good to keep it going but I wonder how long it will be allowed to sparkle in its vintage glory now that it is housing a large national company. Already the outside space at the back sees industrial usage these days when it could have been made available for more ‘appealing’ use more in keeping with its surroundings. Still, you can see none of the modern vs antique competition in your brilliant shot, only a quiet but magnificent hint of glory days gone by.
Superb shot Scott!
Why don’t we build our public buildings with the same attention to detail and style as the Victorians did? We have all the more tools and materials than they did but prefer aluminium clad shacks. Great shot that low viewpoint works well 🙂
I would never have guessed that was a railway station, it’s been beautifully preserved. Great shot, too.
Wonderful. I wonder what it was like when it was bustling with people. Love the photo!
Great shot Scott, is the building used for anything now?
Yes Mark all offices on both sides – I love when decent buildings are reinvented rather than allowed to fall in to disrepair.
